What is Podcasting?

Podcasting is on demand broadcasting. You enter the podcast link into your favorite media player or software, and the messages are automatically downloaded to your system for you. It is like a TiVo or VCR for your iPod, podcasting PC software, or almost any other portable device that syncs with a PC.

You can download whatever message you want and listen to it whenever and wherever you want. You will also have full access to approximately four months of messages from our site plus those previously downloaded on your PC or portable device.

Get Started With These Podcasting Downloads:

First determine if you want to listen to podcasts using your PC or your portable device (iPod, Pocket PC, Palm, MP3 Player,etc.).

For your PC
Download one of the many free podcast readers online. A commonly suggested program is Juice or iTunes. (click on respective link for download)

For a portable device
Download the corresponding program for your media player or MP3 device. Most portable devices will synchronize with Windows Media Player. A program like iTunes (more friendly to the iPod) or Juice will still need to be used to subscribe to the podcast.  For a Pocket PC device Pocket RSS is a good option and it can be downloaded here (a wireless connection may be required).

Subscribing to a Podcast:

Once a reader is installed, you can subscribe to a Podcast feed by copying and pasting the XML url into the reader. To subscribe to the podcast from a Windows based PC, right-click here and choose Copy Shortcut.  In Juice click on "Tools", then "Add a feed.." then paste the feed by doing Ctrl+v.  In iTunes click on "Advanced", then "Subscribe to Podcast..." then paste the feed by doing Ctrl+v.  This will vary for other types of software.  If you do happen to click directly on the XML link a new browser window will open that displays the raw XML code.  You only need the URL that points the reader to this code.  To us Windows Media Player 10 or higher to synchronize your portable device read this article. For portable devices, other than the iPod, Juice (iPodder) is the best option with WMP.  For the best performance on a dial-up connection, wait for the file to download fully before listening.

You can also listen to our podcasts on several web sites, that include, Podcast Alley, Yahoo Podcasts, and many others.  While you are at Podcast Alley, please put in a vote for our podcast.

Please feel free to send us an email if you have any problems, or have any questions or comments on our podcasts.
